Sarvodaya is proud to support Syngenta’s Regenerative Model Farm project!
Over the past year, we have been working closely with the farming community in Karnataka to implement regenerative agriculture practices – helping revive soil health, reduce input needs, and strengthen climate resilience.
With Syngenta’s sponsorship and technical collaboration, we introduced a range of regenerative practices including soil analysis, crop waste management, vermicomposting, crop rotation, cover cropping (Sunnhemp), biochar trials, precision irrigation, bund plantation, and beekeeping for natural pollination.
This special initiative is part of Syngenta’s two year Regenerative Model Farm Pilot launched in Koppal (Karnataka), where four seed growers are currently implementing RAPs. The project is now at its mid term stage and already showing encouraging progress.
The impact so far:
- Improved soil texture
- Healthier, more resilient crops
- Reduced disease incidence
- Strong grower interest in adopting RAPs
A heartfelt thank to all growers and to Syngenta Vegetable Field Production for trusting Sarvodaya as the implementation partner. Together, we are nurturing soils, empowering farmers, and shaping a more regenerative future.
This is just Year 1—much more to come!
